Battlestar Galactica Online (BGO) is a Browser Based, 3D space-themed Sci-Fi MMORPG that offers you the opportunity to experience the epic universe of Battlestar Galactica; live out the epic, action-packed war between the Colonial Humans and the ruthless Cylons from the front row as you decide the fate of the Universe!

Battlestar Galactica Online offers a plethora of unique and innovative features, though by far the most outstanding are the visuals. They’re fantastic, boasting some of the most impressive uses of the Unity 3D-Space engine ever seen in an MMORPG; however, what makes BGO truly special is the use of these high-quality visuals in a Browser-Based format.

Yes, Battlestar Galactica Online is played entirely from your web browser, without the need for a large download or install. As a result, you can experience first-class strategic space battles, planet-side exploration missions, epic Player-vs-Player (PvP) space wars and unique, cooperative multiplayer adventures to the bitter reaches of the galaxies without ever leaving your Internet browser.

Additionally, and unlike the vast majority of the MMORPG genre, Battlestar Galactica Online features unprecedented innovation in the quest and mission department. While in many other MMORPG titles questing bears no real impact on the world around you, in BGO your actions will change the course of the Universe; your story is your own, as you shape the course of your adventure.

You’ll begin playing Battlestar Galactica Online by choosing your faction; either the Colonial Humans or the Cylons. The faction with the least amount of players will be given a 50% bonus to their experience gain for the first 5 levels, to help offer incentive for new players to choose the less popular faction.

Once you’ve selected your faction, you’ll begin playing in a tutorial mission designed to give you a grasp on the fundamentals of ship combat in outer-space. Here, you’ll learn how to maneuver you ship, how to select weapons, how to destroy opponent ships, and how to follow basic orders to achieve your goal. Once completed, you’ll be given the chance to customize your character, choose your first space fighter, and experience life on the ground.

After a few small ‘talk to an NPC’ quests, you’ll learn how to equip new items, purchase new ships, and finally, how to take on missions and explore the known Universe. It’s a very traditional beginning for an MMORPG; however, it’s not without its dash on innovation. Before long you’ll find yourself more than familiar with the majority of BGOs fundamental elements, and well on your way to conquering the universe though faction-based PvP or story-centric, multiplayer missions.

In summary, Battlestar Galactica Online is a triumph. As a 3D, Browser-Based MMORPG it has no rival; though, it still offers a solid and enjoyable experience with innovative and unique gameplay features, putting it up there with some of the best MMORPG titles on the market today.
