Overview
MafiaXL Donville is a Free to Play Browser MMO that places you in the shoes of a Mafia mobster as you build your way up from a lowly criminal, stealing cars, selling drugs and completing cleverly designed missions.
Unlike most other Mafia-themed Browser MMOs, MafiaXL Donville uses cleverly designed game interfaces to offer a 'mini-game' styled experience; stealing cars requires you to 'hotwire' them first, and burgling houses requires quick thinking to hide from Police.

Yes I know what you're thinking: you've played this game before. Well, you're wrong. You haven't. It might look like you have, because there are more Mafia games in the browser MMO space than there are fantasy MMOs featuring Elves and Orcs in the world, but you haven't. MafiaXL Donville is different. MafiaXL Donville is good.
Why is it different? Why is it good? Glad you asked. You see, the Mafia MMO is almost a genre of its own, and the general idea is amazingly simple. You play as a criminal of sorts, and through the completion of missions and objectives, you rise through the ranks of the criminal underworld alongside your friends and enemies.
You'll buy and sell drugs, steal cars, blow up stores, rob people in the street (or in their beds), gamble in casinos, spend saucy evenings with prostitutes -- all the really good stuff -- and you'll make cash and gain fame while you do. The problem in most cases is that it's boring. It sounds fun, sure, but the reality is a bunch of text-based screens with simple images and not a whole lot
going on. As I said: MafiaXL Donville is different.
While the concept remains the same, the execution is nothing alike. In Mafia XL, animated cutscenes accompany every action imaginable: taking a taxi or limo to another district, robbing houses, escaping from the Police and visiting the Red Light District are al accompanied by cutscenes and videos that help draw you into the world of Donville. And that's only the beginning.
Actions, such as stealing cars and holding up convenience stores, no longer happen automatically; in MafiaXL you really are a part of the action. Steady hands and a quick mind are prerequisites to the vast majority of the events here, creating a truly immersive Mafia experience, without ever leaving your Internet browser.
And if you're thinking that this all sounds a little too complicated; think again. Your very first steps in MafiaXL are guided, giving you some start-up cash and a brief tour of the city, and how to interact with it. And to top it off, a series of tutorial videos can be watched at any time, in-game, that cover everything from stealing cars to selling weed at the right price.
And that's really only the beginning. The in-game PDA system will track your friends, messages, missions and more, ensuring that you always know what you need to do, and where you need to go... I could go on, but I think you get the idea. MafiaXL is different. MafiaXL is good. Play it now, for free; thank me later.
