The last few weeks have been absolute chaos at the MMOGames office, meetings were frequent, work went until the early hours of the morning and beyond. In the midst of it all, we even went a little bit quiet, but it’s all been for one things – to bring you a new site, a better site. For a long time we have had a vision for this site, we wanted to make it different to the rest and offer a site that no one else offers. This new design is just the foundation of what’s to come. There have been many changes on the site, but we hope they are all for the better.

One of the first things I would like to point out is that there is absolutely no banner ads on our site whatsoever. We think that 9 times out of 10 banners are invasive, look trashy, and ruin the experience of the reader – you. So we’ve said goodbye to them, and built a design from the ground up that is intended to offer you the best experience possible. But like I mentioned earlier, we’re only just getting started and there is much more to come.

Some things have moved on the site, the screenshot above is our new home page. Click on it and you will notice that images can be viewed in full resolution, no more small resolution screenshots. On the image, take a glance at the red arrows, they each note a few features of the home page. Click on the games button to start looking for MMOs & MMORPGs – we think you’ll like our new games list. All our content is now housed under the content button, mouse over it and select the type of content you want to see – news, reviews, articles, guides or videos.

We’ve also relaunched our forums, which were shut down long ago to the disappointment of many, jump over there now and help get the community started! Our giveaways remain as normal, click the giveaways button to see a list of our currently active giveaways and contests. The page offers more though, you may notice that the background changes every 5 seconds, that’s part of a new browser-wide slider we’ve designed that showcases new games and the latest content like never before.

We hope this will make the more interesting games and pieces of content stand out, making it easier for you to find them. Don’t forget to scroll down though, you can quickly see the latest news and reviews at the bottom of the home page. If you ever want to return to the main page, just click the logo in the top left!

Our games list has been given an overhaul and now filters games by genre at the click of a button. A new button panel with all our current genres sits at the top of the page, click one of the buttons to find games of that genre. The games are shown below the panel, so don’t forget to scroll down! We would love to hear what you think of the new site, and we hope you love it as much as we do.
