Three of the eighteen classes, the Gunslinger, Spellsword, and Berserker are unveiled.
Kingdom Under Fire II being developed for PC online and PS3â„¢ will be the latest installment of the Kingdom Under Fireâ„¢ franchise whose 10 year long legacy achieved numerous awards from various media around the world, and gained hardcore followings being released on multiple platforms such as PC, Xboxâ„¢, and Xbox 360â„¢.
The franchise first title ‘Kingdom Under Fireâ„¢: A War of Heroes’ was released back in 2000 on PC, and praised by many gamers for its brilliant combination of role-playing and real-time strategy. The franchise continued its reign by releasing ‘Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusadersâ„¢’, and ‘Kingdom Under Fire: Heroesâ„¢’ subsequently on Xbox, which took the industry by surprise introducing a new genre of combining both action and real-time strategy in one game for the first time for a console game making the game hugely responsible for helping the genre solidify its presence in the gaming world. The franchise last title to be released was ‘Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom’, which was an action RPG spinoff released on Xbox 360.

The three classes unveiled are based on the three factions that rule the Bersian continent, the setting in which Kingdom Under Fire II storyline takes place. As the player you take your own path, first choosing a class and starting out as a mercenary. Over time you can become the most ruthless merc or the most powerful ruler in the continent by joining a guild, guild alliance, or nation, and expanding your territory.
The Gunslinger, a human warrior who is the master of the Hironeiden traditional swordplay carries a long sword and a powerful rifle.
The Gunslingers are a human class that forms the biggest community in the Bersian continent although physically, they are the the weakest of the races in Bersia.
In order to overcome this adversity, they banded together. Forming nations, tribes, and communities, they developed themselves through teamwork. They invented advanced weapons, and come up with brilliant war strategies, which made them one of the major forces in Bersia.

The characteristics of the Gunslinger class strongly mirror those of the humans. What they lack in physical ability, they make up for with good combat strategies, expertise in swordplay, and, last but not least, their guns, as their name suggests.
Their combat style is fundamentally based on the one that was used by the civil militia who’ve existed in the human community in Bersia as long as man can remember.
Because at the very beginning, they were consisted of farmers and lumberjacks instead of soldiers, they lacked greatly in terms of combat skills, so they adopted the traditional combat technique practiced by the commanders of the civil militia and made it their own. The most noticeable characteristic of their combat style is that they tend to fight in the very front line of battle leading the rest of the units.
The commanders of the civil militia who were known to be very brave, physically talented, and skilled in swordplay are believed to be the founders of today gunslinger class.
The rifle that the Gunslinger carries is the state of the art weapon based on the high technology of dwarves who are more advanced than any other races when it comes to the technologies of gunpowder and power. The rifle possesses explosive power which is contradictory to its size and mobility.

The spellsword belongs to the Dark Legion, and her unbelievable quickness, the ability often seen among the Dark Elves, matches none. Using her sharp blade and ice magic in an aggressive attacking fashion, she freezes and slices the enemy before it knows what hits it.
Ever since they were born, the Dark Elves have been told that they’re coursed, and because of this reason, they’ve always been a target of discrimination. After losing the war against the Human Alliance, they had to flee from their homeland and had been living under the control of Vellond, the nation of the Half-Vampires.
While the war over the Holy Ground was going on, they built their own independent sovereignty called Kaedes taking advantage of the deaths of some of the leaders of Vellond. However, they were far from celebrating as an internal conflict surfaced among their novelties followed by the painful defeat of the war with Vellond which forced them to move out from the central region of the continent.
The nation of Dark Elves, Kaedes is trying to make a re-attempt to position itself in the central region but there are still many problems blocking their way until they’re considered as formidable by other neighboring nations. However, contradictory to the situation their nation is in, the Dark Elves themselves are doing very well being active in battles thanks to their exceptional physical talent and vast combat experience.
Spellsword is the term used to call the Dark-Elf female warrior that specializes in ice magic, and only a very few of them that have unbelievable quickness and exceptional talent in ice magic on top of being physically gifted gets the privilege of being categorized as the Spellsword class.
In the old days, there were some Spellswords that practiced fire or electricity magic in addition to ice magic, but soon they realized ice magic was what suited them the best in order to survive in battles, so it was natural for the most of them to adopt it as their main magic skill as their combat skills matured.
Each Spellsword has her own specialty and their skin color differs from each other. They’re also easily distinguishable from other Dark-Elves.
Being unveiled along with these two classes is the Berserker. With his devastating power being equipped with giant blade and grotesque Encablossian armor, he delivers heavy blows to the enemies. What makes him even more fearful is his ability to summon fire which burns everything it touches.

In the universe of Kingdom Under Fire, there is something called the “Flow of Dimensions”. Two gods that have existed since the very birth of the universe, take turns ruling the land. Each “Age of Light” is followed by an “Dark Dimension”.
However, sometimes the coexistence of these two ages, whose timelines flow in opposite directions, creates a temporal imbalance. This results in a connection between two dimensions. The event that people call "The Great Diastrophism" was one such occurrence. The crack opened by that event brought the Encablossians into the Bersian continent.
These creatures were originally from the Age of Light, but swept to the Dark Dimension while the change of age was taking place. They had to undergo a very painful process of changing their form mutating their bodies in order to adapt to their new home, which they survived from at the end.
But the Encablossa, the master of the Dark Dimension, treated them as if they were expendable during the Holy War with the Age of Light. Such was their destiny
The leader of Encablossians, Aleph made a powerful spiritual solidarity that bound the race into one, and this broke them free from the cuff that Encablossa put around them making it possible for them to escape from the Dark Dimension through a crack opened by the temporal imbalance.
After they made their way to the Age of Light, they fought against their former master Encablossa calling themselves liberators only to find out that he and his army were too strong for them.
So they sought a way to become stronger and as a solution decided to take advantage of Encablossa power.
They figured that only if they could apply just the “right” amount of Encablossa power to their mutated bodies, they would be able to get stronger physically, and furthermore use some of Encablossa divine power.
They succeeded, in the end, in this and the Encablossians with their more powerful bodies and the ability to use the dark blaze signaled the beginning of the Burserker class.
BLUESIDE is planning to have two more classes available by the time the initial open beta test starts, and the total of 18 classes will be available for selection through updates.
Massive and realistic battles come together where thousands of units collide en masse to battle it out. On top of epic action and tactics that play out in the game, new to the franchise is its character growth system, which will take the fun to another level.
Korean open beta test for Kingdom Under Fire II PC online is slated for the end of this year.
