Since the announcement of World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria at Blizzcon this past weekend, a lot of details have begun to pour out about what to expect from the latest expansion pack. We already saw the epic trailer and made some kung-fu panda jokes, but one thing caught my eye above all else. Mists of Pandaria is set to feature nine 5-man dungeons at launch, that is one more than cataclysm had at launch.
World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Dungeons Revealed
“The overall goal for this expansion is that any time you log in, you should be able to make some kind of progress on your character.”
Blizzard were kind enough to reveal three of these new dungeons to eager players. In Mists of Pandaria the developers are claiming that the heroic dungeons are at the same difficulty level as heroics in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. The goal is to provide challenging experiences while using what they learnt from cataclysm to further improve game mechanics that by design only set you up to fail. To add a touch of flavor to this announcement blizzard have also released videos for each of the newly revealed dungeons.
Blizzard has also announced a new six-boss raid which will be located within the Vale of Eternal Blossoms. An interesting location choice as the vale is shrouded by impassible mountains and thick fog, hiding many secrets of the Mogu empire, an indigenous Pandarian race. There is plenty more news to come as we get closer to release so be sure to check back frequently for all the latest news!
