New ArcheAge Video: Mounts, Transports and Flying

ArcheAge is an upcoming third generation MMORPG I mention quite a lot, if you haven't heard of this fantasy MMO, then be sure to have a quick read of ArcheAge: You Shape The World so that this all makes sense. XLGames have just released, what is thought to be, Closed Beta Test #4 footage of the highly anticipated title. In such a large world spread over three massive continents, you need to be able to navigate it quickly. This is why today we see a video focusing primarily on one thing, transportation in ArcheAge.

The first option we see is carriages, this is a free mode of transportation that travels along fixed routes. Players are free to jump on and off at any point, no loading screens, you're taking the scenic route! The floating boat in between these shots is one of the Floating Ships of Marianople. Secondly we see a variety of mounts, horses which can seat two players, the native mount of the Ferres the Snow Lion and what looks like a skinned Tuantuan.

Heading to the skies we are able to see the gliders, portable flying mounts that utilize gliding mechanics (think Aion)  to enable you to cover stretches of landscape quickly. What better place to glide then from the top of an Air Ship? Players can travel between continents on large air ships, all of which you can leap from at any time. The world is large and seamless, travelling between continents doesn't bring up a loading screen, you actually travel across the ocean.

With ships available, being able to glide down from Air Ships might provide some tactical advantages when boarding enemy ships. We are brought to an end with the ship, controlled completely by players and their crew of friends, sailing off into the sunset. We hope you enjoyed the video, let us know what you think about ArcheAge in the comments below!
