Xsyon is the new open-ended fantasy sandbox MMORPG from Notorious games that focuses on building virtual societies. With the forming of tribes players begin building towns, shaping the landscapes and eventually create what they hope to be a prospering society. Not every society within the game will have immediate access to all the resources they require however. Xsyon is a game where the items are created by players, if you can’t make them, how do you get them?
Obviously the best way to obtain these resources and items is to trade with other tribes who do have immediate access to these resources. Whether you purchase from this tribe or trade them for a resource you are abundant in, any economy can use trade to boost itself and eliminate many big problems. So you want to trade with other tribes in Xsyon, but you are scared of PvP-centric players taking advantage of the situation, what do you do?
Xsyon guides have a solution that won’t eliminate the threat of PvP but will help bring tribes together in a safe location. Twice a week on Wednesday and Saturday, players will be able to teleport to the new Xsyon Trade Fair which will allow players to trade in a PvP-free environment. This market trade area will hopefully serve as a place to bring all the tribes together, creating more unity and interaction within the virtual world.
Do you think this market area is a good idea? Or are you upset that Wednesday and Saturday won’t be ‘gank the merchants’ days? Xsyon players fill the game world with player-created items, players can pick their own prices on selling items and haggling is always encouraged. However this changes the game, it seems like those who are less interested in the PvP side and more focused on the economical will now have place to fence their wares in peace.
