Continent of the Ninth Seal (C9) is an upcoming free-to-play action-MMORPG by WEBZEN. Today, the publisher announced that registrations for the 2012 C9 Championship Tournament have begun and the registration page is now open. To qualify for registrations, players must complete three in-game party quests before May 5th 2012. Players will then have until May 9th to register for participation in the tournament.

The 2012 C9 Championship Tournament will start on May 16th and the semi-finals will take place by May 31st. The top final qualifying teams will be invited to participate in the offline grand finals during E3 2012 in Los Angeles, USA. The cash prize for this tournament is $10,000USD, a prize which has attracted over 100,000 users to the tournament registration test.

Jihun Lee, Head of Global Publishing, said, “Users have shown much interest towards C9 even before the official launch.” Also he said, “We will give our full effort to successfully complete the tournament and focus on the localization for global users to launch the official service this summer.”
