Darkfall Online is a subscription-based, fantasy sandbox MMORPG by Aventurine. After a rocky history of bugs, exploits and undelivered promises, Darkfall Online is making steps towards achieving what it originally intended. The developers were small to begin with, not having the manpower or resources to deliver the experience they, and everyone else desired. Now, with a new publisher, a dramatic increase in staff and more resources available, Aventurine have been working on completely overhauling their beloved sandbox MMORPG.
As the launch of Darkfall 2.0 draws near, Aventurine have announced the launch of what they are calling, the ultimate promotion. Starting today and running until the launch of Darkfall 2.0, current, new and returning visitors will all find some perks for returning to Darkfall pre-overhaul. The promotion offers benefits such as free game time, skill-up increases, increased drop rate for loot, faster activation of control points and more.
The purchase price for Darkfall has been waived and the monthly subscription cost dropped to $9.95. Players can enjoy a 4x increase in global loot, and reap the benefits of a skill-up increase by 20x, allowing players to level up their skills extremely fast. For the next two days, players who currently own the game will be able to return for free with two days free game time. Another two days will be offered beginning from July 9th. Finally, village control points will now go active every six hours, rather than the current setting of twelve hours.
