This weekend’s Call of Duty XP event held a number of exciting announcements concerning its upcoming launches! The Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer beta will be starting on October 14, first on PlayStation 4.
The bonuses for PS4 players don’t end here, as Activision also announced that Jackal Assault, its first PSVR experience set in the universe in the series, will be offered as a free bonus to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare PS4 players.
Jackal Assault puts players in control of a Jackal, the personal fighter jet in Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, for an immersive perspective on the fights. Fans attending Call of Duty XP were able to play Jackal Assault on-site at the event.
Another notable announcement from the event was that all 16 of the original multiplayer maps would be available for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered at no extra cost. The remastered edition will feature at its launch in November the 10 maps originally announced, with the additional 6 maps being added for free in December.
The event kicked off with an impressive trailer showcasing an overview of the Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer mode features:
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered will go live on November 4, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
The trailer for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare multiplayer overview seems to have divided players, many of them voicing displeasure with the game looking just like Black Ops 3 and distancing itself too much from the original CoD experience.
