IDC/Games to be Publisher for Cosmic League in Europe, Latin America

IDC/Games announced that it has entered into an agreement to be the European and Latin American publisher for Cosmic League, a very successful Japanese third-person shooter made by Cyberstep. Cosmic League has already gained immense popularity in Japan, where it is known as Cosmic Break 2.

European Publisher for Cosmic League

Cosmic League is an anime based action arena third person shooter, or TPS, featuring anime style characters which the developer describes as “Cute Girls and Killer Robots.” The popular game features two teams of 10 fighting in intense, close quarters fights in an arena which constantly changes, requiring quick thinking and changes in tactics by players. IDC/Games announced that they were to be the publisher for Cosmic League in the European Union, Turkey, and Latin America in a press release on 11 January. The game will be available for players in these areas via IDC/Games’ website and also through Steam.

Our Thoughts:

It’s fantastic to see more titles coming out of Japan, where the online gaming scene is nothing like the one we know in the west. Hopefully this signals a shift in the industry which could lead to titles like PSO2 finally coming to our shores, and a greater accessibility to Japanese titles in general.
