If you really want to hurt someone, you might as well kick someone while they’re on the ground – better yet, wait for a mob to tear them apart before you dump a big chunk of coal in their stocking. That’s the idea the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) had when they recently had The WarZ’s trademark suspended for being too similar to upcoming movie, World War Z – based on a novel by Max Brooks and starring Brad Pitt.
As a result, The WarZ will most likely have to change its name to something entirely new. Accused of fraud, removed from steam, and then your trademark suspended resulting in a forced name change – Merry Christmas Hammerpoint Interactive!
