Tom Clancy’s The Division is a newly announced persistent online shooter that was recently revealed by Ubisoft at E3 2013 in Los Angeles. With the announcement of the games release on the PS4 and Xbox One, PC gamers were left empty handed although extremely enthusiastic about what they saw. Ubisoft said if PC gamers wanted their share, they should be vocal about it – so that’s exactly what over 100,000 gamers did with a new petition.
Ubisoft is listening, and it almost seems like they might have expected this response as Ubisoft’s own Ryan Barnard told IGN at E3 2013 that, “we’re not ruling out other platforms because we do also read the internet. I think Ubisoft as a company considers maximizing the potential of a game, so if the audience is there and the desire is there.”
It seems that with this sort of rapid vocal support and shown interest for a PC version of The Division that it might not be too far-fetched to begin getting your hopes up or at least some interest in what we see as the inevitable announcement of a PC version.
