Ubisoft Announces The Division Free Weekend

When Update 1.6 launched this past February, The Division offered up a free six hour trial. It would appear that Ubisoft is upping the ante with the announcement of a Division free weekend, granting players on all platforms a chance to see what the multiplayer online shooter is all about.

The free weekend will be a global event for Xbox One, PC, and PS4 players. The trial is offered with no restrictions to anyone who joins in, including those who were otherwise playing the game under the current trial, which restricted gameplay to either level eight or six hours of total play time.

If you like what you see, you can pick up the game on your platform of choice at a 65% off discount for both the Standard and the Gold editions. Just like the trial, the discount is for all three platforms. Further, if you buy in during the trial, all of your advancement will carry over.

The free weekend begins on Thursday, May 4th and runs until Sunday, May 7th. Details about when the trial goes live in your corner of the world can be found on the official site.

Our Thoughts

If six hours or eight levels are good, then three days is even better! Perhaps the current trial needs a little extra boost, or perhaps Ubisoft are testing the free-to-play waters? Whatever the case, we’re sure that plenty of players will be giving The Division a new look.
