A monumental update for Warframe has arrived. The Second Dream, as the update is called, introduces the first cinematic quest, and it answers the questions many player have been asking for nearly three years now; what exactly is a Warframe? The new update also brings with it the new Warframe Ivara, Sortie Missions, the Conclave expansion, a host of new weapons and accessories, and much more!
The Second Dream
The first cinematic quest is titled The Second Dream, just like the update is. In it, you’ll find out that the Sentient Hunhow has enlisted the Stalker to destroy the Tenno, by exploiting a long forgotten secret. This secret cuts right to the heart of what it means to be a Tenno. The quest is available to all players who have completed the quest “Natah”.
24-Hour Code Rewards
If you enter the 24-hour codes on Warframe’s teaser website, you will get the following rewards for each corresponding day:
- Day 1: Kubrow Egg
- Day 2: 5x Uncommon Fusion Cores
- Day 3: 3-Day Credit Booster
- Day 4: Orokin Catalyst Blueprint
- Day 5: Orokin Reactor Blueprint
- Day 6: 5x Rare Fusion Cores
If you’ve put in all 6 codes successfully, you’ll get the new Stalker Noggle Statue as well! Rewards will show up in your inbox when you login, so there’s no further action required. This is only for PC Tenno redemption for now.
Ivara is the newest Warframe to be introduced to the game. With her quiver of tactical arrows, this huntress prowls unseen and strikes without warning. Ivara has the following abilities
Quiver: Cycle through and shoot one of four tactical arrows! There’s the Cloak Arrow, which creates a defensive bubble that cloaks allies and shields them from attacks. There’s the Dashwire Arrow that fires a zipline which gives you some nice mobility. The Slumber Arrow induces a temporary slumber on the target, and the Noise Arrow creates a nose at the point of impact that attracts enemies and distracts them.
Navigator: Once you’ve fired an arrow, you can take control of it and guide it to its target. The damage increases the longer you navigate it.
Prowl: This ability allows Ivara to become invisible. She can then steal loot from unsuspecting enemies and go on the offensive with increased headshot damage.
Artemis Bow: Her last ability makes Ivara summon a mighty bow, with which you can unleash a volley of devastating arrows.
You can obtain Ivara through the Market, or by doing Easy, Medium and Hard Spy mission. Learn more about Ivara in the video below!
Sortie Missions are a new addition to Warframe and are available for all Tenno with a mastery rank of 4 or higher. They’re difficult end-game missions for the more experienced Tenno out there that you can either complete alone or with a group. Each Sortie Mission will have its own unique requirements or enemy modifiers, giving an extra edge to each separate mission.
Players can access Sortie Missions through the Sortie Icon in the upper right corner of the World State Window in Navigation. The missions will change daily and players must complete all three connected Missions to receive a reward from that Season’s pool. Each Sortie Season lasts for a period of 15 days before a new Season with an updated loot table begins. Sorties must be played in order and all three missions must be completed to receive a reward.
There’s a bunch of other notable stuff that come with this Warframe update, so you should definitely check out the entire overview. We also have a giveaway live for resource boosters, so grab a key for that too!
Ivara certainly looks fun to play, and we can’t wait to learn what exactly a Warframe is!
