Many MMORPGs open up their games for “welcome back weekends” to allow players who once played their games experience a taste of how the game has changed at no personal cost. The Elder Scrolls Online goes one step further by welcoming back the Beta Testers who never purchased the game in their Welcome Back Weekend. After all, if you did purchase the game, it has now dropped subscription fees as a gate to playing so you can jump back in to The Elder Scrolls Online, regardless.
For those who never did buy the game, however, a lot has changed since The Elder Scrolls Online launched a year ago and Zenimax really want you to see how Tamriel’s expansion into the MMORPG market has improved over the past year with six major game updates and multiple fixes and additions in that time. Therefore, from Thursday April 16th at 10 A.M. EDT until Monday April 20th at 10 A.M. EDT, if you were in The Elder Scrolls Online Beta but never bought the game, you can download the client and check out what has changed for yourself. You should have an email waiting for you with information on how to download the Elder Scrolls Online client, so give it another try.
