The new Riot Games website for League of Legends in Japan is now open and accepting applications for the Closed Beta.
Despite its popularity in the rest of the world, League of Legends still has yet to reach the Japanese market. The MOBA has eSports teams all over the world, from North America to China, and now Japan is finally getting in on the action.
In addition to the new Japanese League of Legends website, the localization of the game is receiving a series of voiceovers with a few famous actors involved. A few revealed so far include: Uesaka Sumire as Jinx, Fujiwara Keiji as Master Yi, Hanae Natsuki as Ziggs, Yuuki Aoi as Lulu, and Masako Nozawa as Wukong. It’s likely that the entire cast will receive new voice actors, but not all have been unveiled yet.
Riot Games will also be participating in the Sapporo Snow Festival next month. We can expect to see some League of Legends inspired ice sculptures during the event.
The most popular game in the world is about to get even bigger. We can’t wait to see what comes out of Japan and expect some really awesome sculptures from the Sapporo event.
