ArcheAge 2 is the long-awaited sequel to ArcheAge that finally brings the acclaimed MMO to console with a healthy dose of extra sheen. XLGames is back as the developer, with CEO Jake Song heading up the project once more. The publisher is Kakao Games, who acquired XL Games and ArcheAge in 2021.
ArcheAge 2 was first announced in 2020 as a project to modernize the beloved ArcheAge and bring it to a much wider audience. ArcheAge 2 strives to reinvigorate the dedicated audience with a new offering while staying true to the core tenants of ArcheAge such as the maximization of player freedom.
