Grand Fantasia is a 3D Fantasy MMORPG that offers a multitude of traditional MMO features, such as a branching class system and team-based battlefields.

Grand Fantasia keeps true to the style of the MMORPG genre, but isn't without its own sense of flavour. Unlike many MMORPG titles, Grand Fantasia offers a versatile class evolution system; while in the beginning there are only four available classes -- the Fighter, Hunter, Acolyte and Spellcaster -- as you progress many more options become available.

Following the traditions of the anime-inspired MMORPG, Grand Fantasia also offers an innovative 'Sprite' Pet System, that allows you to train your own Sprite to help you in a number of different ways. Sprites can help you in battle, can gain experience and train new skills, craft new items, gather resources and even pick up loot dropped from enemy monsters.

The Sprite System adds another layer of depth to the traditional MMORPG format; not only will you increase the level of your character, but also your Sprite, making for some enjoyably addictive MMORPG gameplay.

Another of the strong elements present in Grand Fantasia are the cute, anime-inspired visuals. Fans of anime in general will feel right at home in this world, as the ongoing story progression closely reflects that found in many anime and manga series', making for an enjoyable story-driven gameplay experience, backed up by awe-inspiring visuals.

While it's no great secret that Grand Fantasia borrows many features from World of Warcraft (such as questing for progression and story), it does bring enough 'new' to the table to keep it feeling fresh. The Class Evolution System adds a multitude of dynamic progression options that are sure to keep 'hardcore' players busy for months to come; yet, the casual audience has much to gain too from the 'pick-up-and-play' game style and introduction quests.

Grand Fantasia is a wonderful addition to the anime-inspired MMORPG genre, and makes for a great addition to the MMORPPG genre as a whole. Veteran gamer and new player alike have something to gain here.
