MondoZoo is a Browser-Based MMOG that allows you to create and run your own Zoo while helping endangered animals from all over the world. Enter a world with more than 200 animals to save and protect, and build the Zoo of your dreams.

MondoZoo is a game played in rounds, where each round represents a real day and is reset when you sign in. The overall goal is, as you’ll likely have already guessed, to build a Zoo and fill it with animals.

You can buy or sell animals from the World Animal Foundation (WAF) or the Black Market. Though beware, the WAF will be hard on those players who choose to trade on the Black Market. Of course, everyone has their own preconceptions of right and wrong; and if you value profit over plant, the Black Market might be just what you’re looking for. 

Depending on your actions, you get a good or bad reputation with the WAF, which brings good or bad events to your zoo. As such, siding with the WAF will more than often result in an easier gameplay experience, but also one that is much less lucrative. Which side will you choose?

Your zoo is composed of three different zones: The Mini-Farm, The Amazonian Jungle and The African Savannah. Each type of animal you obtain inhabits a single enclosure in one of these zones, and you’ll need hire different types of employees and increase their skills with training to properly maintain these zones.

If all of this is sounding a little too complicated, remember that there are optional levels, missions and contests are available to guide your way through the game and leverage your performance. Each time you accomplish one of them you’ll receive bonus LOL (the artificial money in the game), add some animals to your zoo or win a special prize, awarding your efforts. As a source of additional revenue you can open shops, restaurants and many other venues, which your visitors can use while admiring your numerous animals and the magnificent zoo.

MondoZoo is a fully-fleshed MMOG that can be played directly through your browser without the need for a large wait or download. Though many of the elements in MondoZoo are tailored to a younger audience, many older players still remain active subscribers due to the complexity of the trade system, and the social and networking elements provided.
