Overview

WarFlow is a 2D Browser-Based MMORTS that takes place in an empire torn between three factions that offers traditional RTS gameplay strategy.

WarFlow follows in the footsteps of many MMORTS titles that have come before it, but enhances this structure with several new additions, such as the ability to battle opposing players to earn silver that can be spent of acquiring new heroes.

Review

Set in an ancient land, WarFlow is an MMORTS that takes place in a world where people are suffering from years of war between three nations. You will assume the role of an ancient Hero and save this land from chaos. 

To do this, you will first assume control of a city and begin by building it. The buildings in the city include barracks that produce soldiers, training ground that recruits and upgrade heroes and war academy that develops technologies. Like other popular MMORTS games you will unlock more buildings as you progress further into the game, alongside upgrading your Town Centre unlocking new strategies for battle.

Once you have established a city and are ready for battle, you will learn of your options there, too. You can choose to battle against NPC computer-controlled characters or real players. NPC battles are varied and different maps are unlocked as you upgrade further. You can obtain honour from NPC battles, which helps the technology development and hero upgrades. In PvP battles RP can be obtained, will gives more silver salary allowing you to unlock new heroes.

Silver is essential in WarFlow. It can be obtained by levy, which will be available after a cool down period each day. Silver can be used to buy and upgrade heroes, train heroes and buy forage to feed your soldiers. Players can also get extra silver from military rank salary and mine occupation.

Different heroes have different troops. Some may cause high damage, while others give a bonus to strategy attacks or unique skills. Heroes can be trained in training grounds located in your city, and can equip better items to get higher attributes. Some heroes can be recruited from defeated NPC forces and others as a reward when you reach a certain military rank.

NPC legions are the bosses of WarFlow; you will need to form a legion of 4-8 random players to battle together against these NPCs. You can also create or join a legion to develop legion technologies and occupy state farms which will bring extra benefits to all legion members. Legions can battle each other for mine or farms; these battles can be scheduled by a Legion president and members will get a notice to login on time and join the battle.

While the vast majority of the features in WarFlow are as far from innovative as they are from perfection, others, such as the ability to join a Legion, take down powerful bosses and fight in intense Player-vs-Player battles against opposing legions, are both fresh and engaging, and are definitely worth a try.
