WolfTeam is a Tactical MMOFPS that closely resembles shooters like Counter-Strike and Half-Life, though with a slight twist: while you begin playing each game as a Marine, you can also transform into a Werewolf.

WolfTeam is a Tactical MMOFPS that closely resembles shooters like Counter-Strike and Half-Life, though with a slight twist: while you begin playing each game as a Marine, you can also transform into a Werewolf. This offers a number of obvious tactical advantages, such as amazingly fast movement speed, incredible melee damage and the ability to climb on walls, though it also makes you less effective at long range, so knowing when to transform back into a weapon-wielding Marine is often the key to survival.

The most popular game mode, Deathmatch, requires that you kill members of the opposing team in order to acquire points. As you get more kills, you are awarded with points that you spend in the WolfTeam store on new, more powerful weapons, items and equipment.  

But don't worry; you start off with a fair selection of different weapons when you first make your account, and thanks to the WP System (which acts as a form of in-game currency), other players will be limited from using 'better guns' every round, which adds much needed balance to the genre as some weapons are significantly more powerful than others, but require WP to use. If you can't seem to get any kills, you can still use the 'Standard' equipment which requires very little 'WP' until you’ve earned enough points to go shopping.

Another interesting feature of WolfTeam is the ability to upgrade your weapons. You can customize your weapons significantly tailoring them to your individual style, but keep in mind that weapons do disappear after a certain period of time. Due to this, the best thing to do would be to save all your money until you could purchase a weapon that lasts 60+ days, and then upgrade it to get the full benefit for the longest period of time.

Ultimately, WolfTeam is a game that is best explained by playing it for yourself. And you should, as it offers something imperative to the realm of online shooters: a fresh perspective. While comprising all of the elements of the MMOFPS seamlessly, it reinvents the general tactics of the genre with the ability to transform, creating a dynamic, new arena for FPS gameplay, and should be at the very top of the list of all MMOFPS fans.
