Convention season is upon us and that means it is time for some amazing cosplayers to be seen wandering around and looking amazing. Overwatch has been a constant favorite for cosplayers for quite some time and honestly I doubt that’s stopping anytime soon. But there are a ton of other great games and great cosplays out there to do. Which is why I’ve put together a list of amazing cosplayers doing a variety of games yes, even Overwatch, but this one is so worth it. Cosplayers on this list are from all over the world and are planning on attending several conventions this year so if you like what you see make sure you check them out if they’re at a convention near you.
Bindi Smalls appeared as Tracer from Overwatch at this year’s Katsucon and it looks like the character was made for her. From the last few months you can also see her doing Taco Bell D. Va and she also took part in Stella Chuu’s Overwatch Lingerie Group during Katsucon. We can’t wait to see what else she has in store for 2017. You can follow her on her official Facebook page.
Many of the big names in cosplay are in North America. There’s more conventions, more opportunities, and more support for the craft. But that hasn’t stopped Daiyamondo who is from Poland. Much of her cosplay is anime inspired but I wasn’t at all surprised to see an Elin from Tera thrown into the mix as well. Her Facebook is written in Polish, but you don’t have to understand what she’s saying to admire the artistry.
Feyische & Enishi
This duo love cosplaying as characters from their favorite games. There’s certainly a lot of love for Blizzard games between them with World of Warcraft, Diablo III, Heroes of the Storm, and Starcraft 2. But they aren’t just Blizzard fans, they’ve also done Dota 2, Star Wars, Mass Effect and other great geekdom favorites. Follow them on Facebook to see what great things they come up with next.
We’re back over to Europe to see Kamui. She recently attended CUSplay Pisa where she dressed up both as a Monk from Final Fantasy XIV and Symmetra from Overwatch. She’s also done an amazing Cleric cosplay from Aion. The great news is that she will be in Texas for Project: A-Kon June 9th and 10th where she’ll be hosting cosplay panels. She has fantastic tutorials on Youtube and has a Patreon to help her keep creating the cosplay tutorials. If you scroll through her Facebook account a couple of weeks back she posted a photo taken with Yoshi-P while they were both dressed up!
I’m just going to come out and say it, we need more dude cosplay for the MMO genre. I was SO excited when I stumbled across HS-Design’s Rift cosplay. What I really fell in love with though was his incredible steampunk clockwork cosplay. HS Design is based in Germany so keep an eye out for him at European conventions this year, I know I will be. Follow him on Facebook to keep up with his schedule.
Tasha cosplay seems to be all about the online games and she doesn’t just go with the standard ones you’re used to seeing. Maplestory 2, Cabal 2, and Granatha Eternal (A CCG from Korea). As well as the classics; Dota 2, League of Legends, World of Warcraft, and of course Overwatch. If you like your cosplay a little bit on the sexier side of things be sure to check out Tasha’s Facebook page. I’ll also give it a mild NSFW warning. There’s nothing showing, but it comes close!
If you follow cosplay for MMOs at all you must have known there would have to be World of Warcraft on this eventually. I decided to go with Kurumi, another Polish cosplayer. She does more than just World of Warcraft though, she also recently did a fantastic Ginny Weasley from Harry Potter, and a Dark Valkyrie Diana from League of Legends. Check out her Facebook page to see all her recent cosplay photos.
Perhaps the most famous cosplayer on this list is Stella Chuu. Maybe you’re already a fan, or you might have seen her Blizzcon pickup lines video from a few months ago and not even known who you were watching. Stella Chuu is an amazing cosplayer and she does burlesque too! She’ll be at PAX East doing a burlesque routine as well as being on the convention floor. During Katsucon this year she was the leader of the group of NSFW Overwatch cosplayers which had a fantastic boudoir style photo shoot to go along with it. Check her out on her official site, oh and just in case it really needs to be said, Stella is NSFW.
Aww yes, some Guild Wars 2 cosplay! Wait, that’s not a sexy Norn. Oh no, this is an Asura being cosplayed by Enayla. I got to see her in person at PAX East a few years ago when she was wearing the Masquerade Armor from Guild Wars 2 which was just amazing but her Asura cosplay is easily one of the best Guild Wars 2 cosplays there has been, complete with an epic weapon and a massive golem to make her look as short as the Asura are. She’s also recently done some amazing Westworld cosplay which you can see on her Facebook page.
This is just a tiny look into the massive world of cosplay. I hope you discovered a few new folks to follow. You can be sure that there will be more in the future. If there’s someone you would like to see just let me know in the comments below. So long as they’ve done some kind of online gaming focused cosplay, you’ll see them here.Related: Cabal 2, Column, Cosplay, Final Fantasy XIV, Guild Wars 2, Heroes of the Storm, Listed, MMO, Overwatch, Rift, TERA, World of Warcraft
