MMOGames: Hero: 108 Online has been in Open Beta for months. When's the official release date? Will the release coincide with the new season of the Hero: 108 cartoon?
Hero 108: We officially started the Open Beta on July 7th, and while I can’t give an exact date for the opening of the item shop, I can say that we are getting all of our ducks in a row right now and should hopefully have an update for everyone soon enough.
MMOGames: Is the beta open to everyone?
Hero 108: Yep!
MMOGames: How do players get in the Open Beta?
Hero 108: All they have to do is head over to http://www.hero108online.com and register for our beanfun! portal. Once they have an account, they can download the client and get in-game right away!
MMOGames: Can players play as their favorite Hero: 108 characters? Which ones?
Hero 108: There are four playable characters from the First Squad (Lin Chung, Mighty Ray, Mystique Sonia, Mr. No Hands) and four from the Second Squad (Kowloon, Hurricane Lee, Latifah, Archer Lee), for a total of eight playable characters.
MMOGames: Can players create their own characters; characters who aren't seen in the show?
Hero 108: We really wanted players to be immersed in the world of the Hidden Kingdom as it exists in the show. We felt that fans of the series would really enjoy role-playing as their favorite character and so we made that a priority in the development process.
MMOGames: If everyone can play Lin Chung, how will players be able to know one player from another? In other words, if there are 5,000 Lin Chungs in the game, how will I recognize my friend who plays as Lin Chung?
Hero 108: Players can fully customize their character’s appearance through gear that is purchased from in-game vendors, dropped from defeated enemies in battle, or vanity items that will be available in the in-game premium item shop.
MMOGames: As characters level in Hero: 108 Online, will they get new armor, weapons and skills, like traditional MMOs? Will a level 1 Mystique Sonia look different from a level 25 Mystique Sonia?
Hero 108: Armor and weapons all have their own specific level requirement. As you progress through the game, it becomes quite easy to set yourself apart from the crowd in one way, shape, or form.
MMOGames: What's the level cap?
Hero 108: The current level cap is 60, however, with the planned expansions we’re working on, this will change in the future.
MMOGames: How many characters can each player have?
Hero 108: Players can have multiple Hero: 108 Online game accounts associated with their single beanfun! account. Each game account can have up to four playable characters at one time.

MMOGames: Will players get to fight against HighRoller? How does he fit into the game? For example, is he a big, bad world boss?
Hero 108: Eventually players will be able to go up against the evil baddie in the mobile throne, but until then, there is a Raid Boss that has his likeness that you’ll have to take down. He’s extremely tough and will require a large group of high level players to defeat.
MMOGames: Is it easy to find people to play with if you don't know anyone else in the game? How can players find new friends in Hero: 108 Online?
Hero 108: It’s extremely easy to strike up conversations and make friends early on in Hero: 108 Online. We’ve strategically placed some group quests early in the game to get people familiar with grouping and guilds.
MMOGames: What makes Hero: 108 Online special? Why will fans want to play it?
Hero 108: The direct tie-in to the hit TV show definitely helps, but we also think that the user-friendliness of the game really makes it a homerun. We engineered the game to be really easy for players that are new to MMOs to get into, while still employing some more advanced MMO features -- such as guild ranks, PvP combat, and Raid Boss encounters -- to appeal to the more hardcore audience. It’s a win-win situation!
