ARK: Survival Evolved just introduced two new regions to their already fantastically appealing world: the Swamp and the Snow regions. As you already know, the world of ARK: Survival Evolved is always evolving with new dinosaurs being introduced frequently. The newest patch doesn’t just include new tamable beasts, however, it includes two completely new biomes! These areas include new creatures and items appropriate for each climate. Existing creatures have been moved to their new area-specific homes as well.
First up is the Swamp biome; a fetid, hazy, waterlogged expanse filled with prehistoric snakes, gators, bugs, piranhas, and the all-new “Beelzebufo”. This Beelzebufo is a gigantic frog that players can ride to make their way over obstacles with huge leaps. Poisonous plants are also present in the Swamp, but it’s worth traversing the biome due to the unique plant life that can be harvested for advanced recipes.
The Frosty Snow Region
Once you’ve seen everything there is to see in the Swamp biome and have jumped around on your frog for a while, there is still the Snow region to explore. Better grab a nice fur coat, otherwise you’ll be chilled to the bone, as the region reaches subzero temperatures. The cold isn’t the only thing that adventures have to care for, however, because vicious Dire Wolves also roam over these lands and you might be there next prey! When tamed, Dire Wolves make for powerful, incredibly fast friends, useful for hunting down the elegant Megaloceros “Stags” that also calls this biome home. Many high quality resources are available among the harsh natural beauty of the frozen wastes as well.
Perhaps you’ve found your new home in one of these two biomes! You should first take a look at the ARK: Survival Evolved Patch spotlight though, otherwise you might make a hasty decision you’ll later regret.ARK: Survival Evolved, News, Patch, Studio Wildcard
