It’s nearly four years since the rebirth of Final Fantasy XIV, and the devs are celebrating in a big way with a 14-hour long Final Fantasy XIV anniversary livestream. The event will feature numerous Japanese celebrities, developers, and some advance looks at coming content.
The marathon stream is set to go live on Friday, September 1st at 8pm PDT. A full lineup of features is on tap, including the 38th edition of the Letter from the Producer Live, which will discuss some new features arriving in Patch 4.1 as well as the upcoming raid Return to Ivalice.
The stream will also have several famous Japanese celebrities stopping by, including Teru from the band that performed the Daddy of Light opening theme, voice actress Rie Tanaka who has played a number of characters for the MMORPG, and the core members of the development team as they look back at the development of Stormblood.
Complete information, including an hour-by-hour schedule and where to tune in, can be found on the official website.
First of all, a heartfelt and early congratulations to Yoshi-P and the entire Final Fantasy XIV development team for their tireless work on what is easily one of the best MMORPGs going. We’re very excited to celebrate four years and to hear about what’s next for the game!
