Would you like to see if a 40-person MMO raid is possible on a mobile device? You’ll get your chance soon as NetEase has confirmed separate Crusaders of Light launch dates for both iOS and Android devices.
The hallmark feature of Crusaders of Light is the aforementioned raiding content, but the mobile MMO will also offer other features inherent to the genre such as dungeon content, questing, guild features, and ranked PvP in 1v1, 3v3, and 5v5 varieties. The MMO will offer three classes to start, which can then be upgraded via an advanced progression system at level 20. Crusaders of Light will also allow for integrated voice chat in order to help coordinate group actions.
Crusaders of Light launches free-to-play on iOS devices on Thursday, July 13th, with a release on Android devices on Thursday, July 20th. A PC version of the game is also planned to launch on Facebook Gameroom sometime in the Summer. Details and pre-registration for in-game goodies can be found on the official site, and a cinematic trailer can be seen below.
We’re still not sure how large-scale group content will work on a mobile device, but it won’t be too long before we’re able to find out. If Crusaders of Light can bring the full MMORPG experience to mobile devices, it could mean another big step in the world of mobile gaming.
