Perfect World Entertainment announced today that their gaming platform called Arc has gone live. Primarily designed for publishing games and accessing free online games, it already boasts a community of more than 30 million players. These players are granted unrestricted access to all of their favorite titles. In addition, some new free to play games will be added soon, including the popular ARPG Path of Exile, and MMORPG All Points Bulletin: Reloaded. As of now, the gaming platform consists of popular games such as Neverwinter, Star Trek Online and Perfect World International.
“Switching to a new platform is something we’ve felt was necessary to bring all of our titles together in one centralized location,” said Perfect World Entertainment CEO, Dr. Alan Chen. “Our goal is to make Arc the premiere destination for the best free-to-play online games for both our players and partners, and to achieve this by growing the platform with new games, a constant stream of content, and features specifically designed for the PC gaming audience.”
Perfect World is aiming to be the number one stop shop for free online gaming, while providing a full-featured and all-access platform for their own growing game roster. With this single universal login, players can access all of the game content currently on Arc, bypassing the inconvenience of entering your credentials multiple times for different games. Communication is also centralized on the platform, so users can receive important updates, promotions and news that is sent to their inbox. Additionally, the intuitive client overlay makes it easy for players to browse the web, read the latest game news, chat with friends or post in the forums, all while playing their favorite game.
