Probius Enters the Nexus of Heroes of the Storm

During the HGC Western Clash in Katowice, game producer Claudio Gentilini came to the stage and announced the next character arriving in Heroes of the Storm: the plucky Protoss probe Probius.

Probius was described by Gentilini as a ranged specialist who has the ability to summon iconic Protoss structures to the field such as Photon Cannons and Pylons. Probius’ playstyle is considered to be similar to a setup mage who specializes in zone control and AoE burst damage.

In addition to the Probius announcement, Heroes of the Storm created a post discussing additional enhancements arriving to the MOBA such as new UI party frames, the return of the much-requested On Fire feature in an update form, and other UI adjustments.

Probius will float his way into the Heroes of the Storm PTR on March 6th and is due to go live approximately a week later. A cinematic trailer announcing Probius can be seen below.

Our Thoughts

Probius is so cute! Also his ability to summon helpful structures to the battlefield could bring an interesting dynamic to team makeup and the meta of Heroes of the Storm. But mostly he’s so cute!

Your Thoughts
