SWTOR: Knights of the Fallen Empire Changes Everything Today

Today a new game update will arrive for Star Wars: The Old Republic, after a short maintenance that is. Update 4.0 will introduce the Knights of the Fallen Empire, the epic new storyline at level 60, as well as the new Level Sync system and much more!

Knights of the Fallen Empire

Let’s start off by discussing the Knights of the Fallen Empire content. This content will not be accessible to everyone instantly. It’ll only be available to players who are eligible for the four Knights of the Fallen Empire subscriber rewards by having been a subscriber on August 10th, August 31st, September 30th, and October 19th, 2015. All other subscribers will be able to access the content on October 27th, 2015. So if you got the subscriber rewards, you’re in luck as you will be one of the first to try out the new content!

With the game update comes the level cap increase to level 65. But a level cap increase can’t occur without the proper end-game content to go with it! That’s why the new Knights of the Fallen Empire will bring nine action-packed Chapters to SWTOR. Regular Chapter releases will continue the story starting in Early 2016. A subscription is required for this. There’s also the opportunity to jump right into the action of Knights of the Fallen Empire by beginning the game at level 60. A subscription is required for this option as well.

A new player tutorial will guide you through your class’s abilities and eases you into combat while the story unfolds. Veteran players can, of course, disable the tutorial via the menu. The new seat of power in the galaxy belongs to Zakuul. The newest planet has skyscrapers that reach towards the stars, while surrounded by a vast and savage swamp. There’s a couple of new Companions for you to unlock over the course of the first nine Chapters of Knights of the Fallen Empire.

Players can now continue their adventure after Chapter IX by recruiting Companions to grow their Alliance and conquer the new Flashpoint to liberate the galaxy from the grasp of the Eternal Empire!

Game Update Highlights

As for the non-Knights of the Fallen Empire related content, there’s a new 1-60 leveling experience being introduced to SWTOR. Leveling from level 1 has never been more exciting, as you can now reach level 60 by doing main story arc missions and planetary arc missions!

SWTOR 4

To make the game even better, the four primary stats – Strength, Willpower, Cunning, and Aim – have all been replaced by a single stat called “Mastery”. Mastery acts identically to the primary stat it replaces.

A new system, called Level Sync, will allow you to adventure with other players better than before. Players will now receive appropriate Experience and Mission rewards while grouping with other players on the core worlds, while still retaining all of their abilities.

Legacy-Wide Datacrons go live with this patch! Once you find Datacrons, they’ll grant stat bonuses to every character in your Legacy! You’ll also be able to track the Datacron progress in the Legacy window.

Flashpoints and Operations have been revisited and updated. Many older Flashpoints now have additional modes available to them, and many others are now available at max level! For more information on this, you should take a look at the full SWTOR patch notes.

Ranked Arena Season 6 has officially come to an end. And how glorious it was! Now it’s time for you to use your Season 6 Tokens to purchase rewards from the vendors in the Combat section of either Fleet!
