If you’re a TERA player, break out the calendars. The date in question is May 5th.
What’s coming? TERA will be debuting on Steam that day along with an update to Fate of Arun that will bring in the new class, the Gunner.
TERA of course prides itself on its “BAMs” or Big Ass Monsters. So for a new class they decided to go with big ass munitions.
Speaking for En Masse Entertainment, Producer Patrick “Treeshark” Sun said:
“…With her powerful AoE attacks, big-ass arccannons, and summoned constructs, the gunner brings a lot of new elements to the table gameplay-wise, while still requiring the attention to positioning, the timing, and the skill…”
There are questions of course. The class is limited in the same fashion as the Elin only Reaper. Gunners come in two flavours, Castanic or High Elf. In both cases they’re also only ladies. Why is this? What does it mean? Exactly how big are the booms? Crossing universes into Warhammer, do these arccannons approach “enuf dakka”? Probably not but they’re certainly big weapons for big monsters.
We’ll hopefully get our hands on the Gunner soon and try to answer those questions.

Correction: A previous version of the post identified the wrong class because the author is an idiot who plays a Castanic Warrior and ignores everyone else.Related: Classes, News, Steam, TERA
