And yet it's the players getting all the presents!
Indie MMORPG Broken Ranks Celebrates its First Anniversary
Isometric dark fantasy MMORPG Broken Ranks, the game that was once the star of our Indie Spotlight series, has just celebrated its first anniversary. It's safe to say Polish developer Whitemoon Games is over the moon with the milestone, and they are passing on the goodwill to their loyal playerbase with some celebratory activities as they reflect on the past year in the best way: with an infographic.
"Looking back and seeing the statistics we've shared, we can safely say that this year was a successful one. Now it's time to celebrate," said Whitemoon founder Kryzystof Danilewicz, "At least that's what we'd like to say, but there are still many ideas left to implement. Thank you for your incredible support and dedication!"
Rewards include a smorgasbord of perks, headlined by seven days of free premium account bonuses to all. These include:
Four premade strategies at players' disposal, instead of the standard two
40% faster resting times
+300 to carry weight
26% bonus to experiences and gold from mobs, bosses, and platinum chests
The amusing ability to ignore up to 100 people, instead of ten
More lenient penalties upon death
Access to a daily lottery that can net items like elixirs, inhibitors, and platinum keys
Those who already have a premium account will receive seven extra days for free.
In addition, a contest to reward the community's creative minds is currently taking place until February 1st. Artistic fans can win platinum-tier rewards for submitting works in one of three categories: literary (e.g. fan fiction), art, and video (e.g. a song). Participants should email their submissions to email@example.com, and winners will be announced by February 8th.
Another competition is also underway from now until February 8th that will dish out valuable rewards to anyone who collects all the "rares" from certain bosses. Participants must fill out this Google form to enter.
Finally, a birthday quest, "Khold Birthday", will be taking place in-game until Sunday January 29th, which is triggered by talking to the nearest Barker.
Here's to a great year for the young MMORPG Broken Ranks!
