Ashes of Creation devs, Intrepid Studios, are once again poised to raise a ton of cash for Extra Life. For the fifth time in its history, no less. Their fundraising efforts last year managed to raise a whopping $140,000 for the benefit of Rady Children’s Hospital. And we’d wager they can go even higher this year. Especially when there’s Ashes of Creation Alpha keys up for grabs.
This year’s Intrepid livestream session will take place from Saturday 6th November at 10am PST to Sunday 7th November 10am PST. This year will see the dev team participating in a tabletop pen and paper game set in the world of Ashes of Creation. Made all the more exciting by the viewers’ ability to alter the course of the game.
Anyone who has played a DnD session knows how game-changing a Nat 20 can be. Or a Nat 1, for that matter. So imagine the havoc that could be wreaked by forcing them at leisure. Well thanks to the live donation options during the AoC livestream, we’ll get to see that havoc unfold.
As the livestream progresses, Intrepid have reintroduced some fan-favourite milestone targets that, among various challenges for the team to tackle, will unlock opportunities for viewers to win Ashes of Creation Alpha keys. And whether personal donations are intended to alter the course of the tabletop session, increase the chances for an Alpha key, or force the Intrepid team into a dance-off, donors can feel pretty good about the fact that their money will go straight to helping the kids at Rady Children's Hospital.
