It only seems like yesterday when we covered the announcement of Krafton’s mobile exclusive, PUBG: New State. And here we are just months later with an official New State release date within the same year. Cyberpunk 2077, eat your heart out.

Sure, the title may “only” be a mobile spinoff, but the grandiose promises being made during an hour-long showcase this weekend would have us believe that this is no ordinary mobile game. In fact, Krafton is promising one of the most realistic and technologically advanced mobile games to date. Which, if true, is certainly befitting of its futuristic premise.

PUBG: New State inherits the core of the PUBG IP and will have a competitiveness in and of itself on the global market,” said CEO of Krafton, CH Kim during the online showcase. “Krafton will continue to produce games that will be enjoyed by players across the world. We’re committed to offering an expanded experience based on the belief that games will become the most powerful type of media.”

The game’s executive producer, Minkyu Park, also noted that New State will define the standards of a battle royale for the next generation. State-of-the-art rendering technology, a gunplay system on par with the PC version and stunning graphics are all poised to prove this point. But, as ever, the proof will be in the pudding.

PUBG: New State release date

Prospective players worldwide can look forward to a New State release on Android and iOS on 11th November. And given that over 50 million people are already pre-registered, players can rest assured that there will be plenty of competition from day one.

In the meantime, clue up on all the details by visiting the official New State website.
