Last weekend, prospective fans of upcoming zombie survival game The Day Before were treated to a triple whammy of treats ahead of Halloween. In a ‘mega-event’ hosted by none other than IGN, viewers bore witness to some pretty stunning footage of the game in-action. Albeit prefaced by a pretty hammy intro featuring zombie costumes straight from Amazon. Well it is Halloween, after all.

## The Day Before Release Date

The Day Before, from developers Fntastic and publishers MYTONA, is an intriguing open-world MMO set in a post-pandemic (not that one) America. Survival, cooperation and exploration are central to the gameplay. And, thanks to last weekend’s video, we now know that we can expect to dive in on 21st June 2022.

Another pleasant addition to the video was the announcement that the title will be cross-platform, and available on both current and last-gen consoles. Apparently, this is as a direct result of fan demand - which is always a good sign. The release date was announced for PC specifically, however, meaning that console players may have to wait a little while longer.

But The Day Before release date wasn’t all that was announced.

Propnight

What truly came out of nowhere was the sudden announcement of an entirely different game. Propnight, an asymmetric multiplayer horror game, sees four Survivors attempt to elude one monstrous Chaser, who can seemingly take on the guise of some familiar and fan-favourite horror characters. And in their attempts to avoid detection, the Survivors can transform themselves into not-so-inanimate objects.

This lighthearted yet well-timed horror romp looks like a little bit of fun that, while quite starkly different to Fntastic’s main offering, should help provide a horror-tinged fix ahead of summer next year. Because, after enjoying its first open beta last weekend, fans can expect to jump into the title from 30th November.
