The inspiring story of AdventureQuest has hit a new and exciting development this week, as Artix Entertainment super-evolves its cult classic MMORPG. AdventureQuest Worlds, the game that brought so many gamers into the AdventureQuest fold, is being remastered, revamped, and re-released as the cross-platform AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity.
We didn't call it that because of how long it's taking to make this game world cross-platform. Really, we swear.
The cross-platform recreation of AdventureQuest Worlds, the 2D browser-based MMO that preceded AdventureQuest 3D, will have its beta and release later in 2023. And the revamped OG is no simple port. 1,500 cutscenes, 5,000+ monsters and 4,000 pets are being reanimated by hand.
Fans of the original - which is still playable - are in for a real treat. 60fps, a remastered storyline, 50,000+ items, 200 classes, WASD controls, scrolling, particle systems and an improved interface are set to land on PC, tablet, and mobile devices.

Returning players will be gladdened to hear that their progress will not be reset. Existing characters, and all their stuff, will still be available on login. Only the world that they'll login to will be more replete with goodies than ever before.
Of course, the release of the AdventureQuest Worlds: Infinity will be the perfect jumping off point for new players. But until we know more, why not clue yourself up on the history of AdventureQuest from the legendary creator himself.
