Upcoming action MMORPG Lost Ark is receiving ample fanfare as Amazon Games prepares for its western release. From Friday 5th until its release on 11th February, prospective players can tune into ‘Ark Week’ - a week of giveaways, special guests and an entire concert in celebration of the Lost Ark launch.
Basically, you will be hyped. Whether you like it or not.
Ark Week will be hosted by popular host and commentator Lisa “LucyMae” Malambrie on Amazon’s own Crown channel. The Amazon-owned Twitch-based channel is known for delivering original gaming and entertainment shows, but for an entire week it will be dedicated to nothing but Lost Ark. Basically, you will be hyped. Whether you like it or not.
Ark Week content will include ‘Fight Night’, where streamers Paul “ActionJaxon” and Chelsea “ChelseaBytes” Bytes will go toe-to-toe in Lost Ark whilst presenting trivia and dishing out giveaways, as well as brand new shows dedicated to highlighting Lost Ark from different perspectives.
Each day will concentrate on a different theme, including discussions and tournaments surrounding the game. But perhaps the biggest feature is the gig headlined by Grammy-nominated hip hop super-duo Run The Jewels. We’re not sure how the acclaimed rap group relates to the fantasy MMORPG, but suffice to say the concert is courtesy of Amazon Music and will feature even more yet-to-be announced artists.
Of course, with Amazon pulling out all the stops with every tentacle of its media and entertainment empire, it’s no surprise that Prime members will receive a boon in the form of exclusive in-game content upon the Lost Ark launch. These will include a Battle Pack Item with a Crystaline(sic) Aura, Amethyst Shard Pack and Battle Chest Bundle.
