A "first of its kind" Web3 grand strategy MMO game is in the works, allowing prospective players to truly make their mark in a digital mediaeval world. And while we would typically give Web3 and NFT projects a wide berth, the collective credentials of this grand strategy title's writing team are difficult to ignore.
Blocklords is a new kind of grand strategy MMO game that should appeal to the millions of Game of Thrones fans (they still exist, right?) out there. Players will find themselves building and maintaining the legacies of their own unique heroes, with dynasties formed of inheritable traits and titles.
Whether a player wishes to rule the realm as a monarch or serve their lord as a commoner will be entirely their choice. These choices will, in turn, shape the world around them in myriad ways. Whether they decide to beguile or conquer will have lasting effects, as the lore continues to grow and be shaped by the player characters.
Speaking of which, the award-winning writing team behind Blocklords' lore is something to behold. Steve Ince (The Witcher, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, the Broken Sword series), Paul Irwin (director of the interactive drama series TryLife), Alison Norrington (Dark Detour, founder of storycentral), and Bodie Cambert (WITCH: Fated Souls, Afterlife: Wandering Souls) are all lending their big, creative brains to the project.
