While details on the specific contents of next year's events are sparse, this teaser trailer featuring fan fasts of yore gives a pretty clear picture of what Final Fantasy XIV superfans can expect.
Meanwhile, Yoshida also used his streaming time to unveil the next round of content coming to Final Fantasy XIV in just over a week on 18th October. Patch 6.25 will introduce a slew of brand-new content, including:
New Side Story Quests - involving everybody's favourite Hyur, Hildebrand.
New Weapon Enhancement Quests - allowing players to obtain Manderville Weapons.
New Tribal Quests - Omicron will feature new Disciples of the Land dailies.
New 'Variant Dungeons' Battle Content - will allow 1 - 4 players to tackle dungeons that vary in difficulty depending on the party size.
'Criterion Dungeons' - will offer up an extra challenge, with two difficulty options that come with their own rules and characteristics.
Finally, an expanded North American data centre will offer players a lot more breathing room from November 1st. This new data center aims to reduce congestion during peak periods, while a new logical data center dubbed "Dynamis" will bring four new Worlds.
