A FFXIV free login event is underway in an attempt to lure back lost subscribers.
Final Fantasy XIV Tempts Players Back with Free Login Event

Final Fantasy XIV rode a monumental wave of popularity during the lead-up to and upon the release of Endwalker. But as many turned to be on their merry way following the satisfying conclusion of the Hydaelyn-Zodiac arc, Yoshi-P grabbed his Conjurer's cane and yanked us straight back in with myriad reasons to keep playing. Such as with the latest FFXIV free login event.
From now until 30th June, erstwhile FFXIV subscribers are being tempted back into the Final Fantasy fold with four free days to do with what you will. The plan, of course, being to remind players of what they've been missing and reignite their willingness to subscribe once more.
Unfortunately for loyal Eorzeans, however, eligibility is quite specific. To qualify for the FFXIV free login event, players must first meet the following criteria:
- Have previously purchased Final Fantasy XIV
- All registered service accounts must be set as inactive during the campaign period
- Registered service account must have been inactive for at least thirty days
Which means that longtime active subscribers are out of luck, this time around.
Those that have taken a break, however, will find a wealth of new content to return to. Post-Endwalker patch 6.1 makes a start on Yoshi-P's promise to deliver all-new story content for the future, with a slew of main scenario and side quests for players to sink their teeth into.
It also brought the Duty Support system - which allows players to tackle dungeons with a group of plucky NPCs instead of other real people - to a bunch of older dungeons. This, of course, eliminates wait times entirely as players make the most of their four free days. This is in addition to a bunch of smaller updates including new craftable furniture.
The FFXIV free login event will end on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at 7:59 a.m. (PDT), with participants' four days beginning as soon as they first login and ending at 23:59pm on the fourth day. For all the info on eligibility, check out the official website.
