One feature is going, but the developers are building a function in Forge of Empires instead.
Big changes to the guilds
The makers of Forge of Empires, InnoGames, have announced that the guild versus guild feature will be switched off. However, there will be a replacement in the form of guild raids. The reason given by InnoGames for discontinuing the guild vs. guild feature is that only a very small percentage of players still use this function and the costs for maintenance and further development therefore exceed the benefits. The feature is also not usable on a smartphone. The global ranking list, which also includes guild activities, also plays a role. The new guild raids are intended to make the ranking list fairer. A first step was already taken with the last guild update. Since then, guild tasks have been more important than prestige if you want to climb the rankings.
But what are guild raids in the strategy game actually about? The aim is to bring all guilds together. InnoGames hopes that this will lead to greater competition as well as more cooperation between the guilds. Guild quests play an important role. The guild representatives move from one point to the next, while various rewards can be collected along the way. In this context, the developers speak of a kind of parallel world with its own organization, resources and units.
It is not yet clear when the guild raids will be integrated into the game. However, it won't be before 2024. In the next one to two months, however, you will be able to see and experience the changes that are coming to you on the beta server. The same applies to the deactivation of the guild-versus-guild feature. There is no specific date for this yet either.
