A sassy assassin, the Lost Ark Reaper comes with many lethal layers.
All You Need to Know About the New Lost Ark Reaper Class
The Lost Ark Reaper is nearly here, ready to backstab and misdirect. Starting with everybody off who was waiting for a scythe-wielding Advanced Class, because weirdly enough, the 'reaper' isn't the "grim" figure we know. She does wield a pretty sweet dagger, though.
In just under one week, on November 16th, the Lost Ark Reaper Advanced Class will round off the trio of Assassins, joining the equally enigmatic Deathblade and Shadowhunter. A gang that truly caters to the gothic edgelord in us all.
Speaking of inner identities, the Lost Ark Reaper has three. Her Class Identity is built around Normal, Persona and Chaos Modes, each with their own set of features.
In Normal Mode, the Persona Meter will fill up gradually, as well as every time a skill hits a target. Meanwhile, the Chaos Meter will increase with every successful Dagger Skill and Shadow Skill hit while the Persona Meter is full.
Entering Persona Mode will require pressing Z when the Persona Meter is full. This will then summon a Shadow Illusion and cause the Reaper to enter stealth, which will remain until the Reaper attacks. Movement will increase by 30%, Swoop Skills Damage increase by 25%, and the effect can be stacked up to five times. The Reaper will be exposed to hostile adventurers within 4m while in this mode, and will return to Normal Mode once the Persona gauge depletes over time.
Entering Chaos Mode, meanwhile, required the Reaper to unleash a barrage of Dagger and Shadow skills without pressing Z. In this nine-second mode, Crit Rate is increased by 15%, Move Speed by 10%, and Atk. Speed by 10%. The duration can be reset by continuing to unleash hell with Dagger and Shadow Skills, but once time has elapsed, the Chaos Meter will reset and revert to a full Persona Meter.
The Reaper's two Class Engravings include Hunger, which generates more Chaos Meter and Chaos damage, and Lunar Voice, which doles out huge Swoop attacks in Persona Mode.
Then there's Swoop which is one of three Skill categories alongside Dagger and Shadow. While Dagger and Shadow skills work to fill up the aforementioned meters, Swoop skills are instead amplified by the Reaper's Persona mode, allowing her to deal pretty hefty damage.
Needless to say, there's a lot of skill involved in wielding the Lost Ark Reaper effectively, so it's probably best to read up on all the details ahead of her arrival next week.
