The Challenge of the Gods is back and ready to bestow gifts aplenty.

A neat mechanic has returned to the D&D MMO, Neverwinter, called the Challenge of the Gods. Within it, the clandestine pantheon are set to bestow divine gifts on their devotees should they surpass their challenges. Some of which are harder than others, making it easy to see which ones just want you dead.

Challenge of the Gods commences today and is initiated by collecting special loot from slain monsters. Nabbing this loot will commence the challenge of the gods - each of which look like this:

• Tymora : Kill two foes without using any healing potions
• Torm : Kill five foes in one minute
• Amaunator : Donate to your Stronghold's coffers within three minutes (on stronghold maps). Kill five foes without using any At-Will Powers
• Tempus : Kill ten foes without using any Daily Powers
• Silvanus : Kill ten foes without using any Encounter Powers
• Corellon : Survive 30 seconds of combat while under half health.
• Oghma : Use Daily Powers three times in five minutes
• Sune : Use Encounter Powers ten times in combat
• Selûne : Complete one Heroic Encounter within ten minutes
• Chauntea : Use three skill nodes within ten minutes
• Kelemvor : Kill five foes while remaining under 50% health

For their troubles, pious adherents shall receive divine compensation in the form of one of six items:

• Celestial Mantle : A gold-trimmed cloak imbued with the power of the gods (or at least that's how it's supposed to make you feel.)
• Celestial Grace Dye Pack : Gold and purple aplenty to really hammer home that holier-than-thou look.
• Invocation Gift
• Divine Injury Kit
• Gemstones
• Potions.

Furthermore, this godly goody bag can be bolstered if adventurers accept the daily quest from the Speaker of Ao, whose challenge to complete five challenges at once will result in an extra divine reward, including:

• Waukeen's Coin Purse
• Priestess of Sune
• Acolyte of Kelemvor
• Tymora's Lucky Coin
• Forgehammer of Grond
• Eye of Lathander
• Greater Lathander's Belt
• Greater Lathander's Cloak
• Oghma's Token of Free Movement
• Helmite Paladin Ghost
• Lliira's Bell.
