For months now, there have been rumors that an announcement for the sixth installment of the Grand Theft Auto franchise is imminent or coming soon. Nothing has happened. But now the rumors have been given new impetus. As Jason Schreier from the news and media company Bloomberg reports, Rockstar Games is planning to announce GTA VI this week. This is reportedly according to people familiar with the plans. A corresponding trailer is to follow next month, when Rockstar Games celebrates its 25th anniversary. The source of this information wishes to remain anonymous as there has been no release of this information. However, Rockstar Games has not yet responded to an inquiry from Bloomberg.
The fact that GTA VI is officially in development was confirmed at the beginning of last year. No further information has been released since then. However, there was a hacker attack last year, which resulted in images of an early version being leaked to the public. According to this, the sixth installment of the popular series will be set in Miami and feature both a woman and a man as playable characters.
