Fun, frolics and prizes aplenty await in the Darkmoon Faire.
WoW Wednesday: Roll Up! The Darkmoon Faire is Back for Good!
Shadowlands has reached its conclusion, a new expansion dawns and WowGrandma78 was allowed to end her 15-day subathon and take a break. Which means one thing for Azeroth: it's party time.
The Darkmoon Faire has returned, and is in full swing until Sunday. Silas Darkmoon and his weird and wonderful funfair is back, unifying the netizens of WoW with good times and prizes galore. Most activities will require purchasing Darkmoon Game Tokens from specific vendors. But with these in hand, it's time to let loose.
Among the most exciting of activities is easily the Darkmoon Dance Off: a spectacle courtesy of two players vying to pull off the fanciest footwork. Sweet moves will earn a bunch of achievements, in addition to the Dance Dance Darkmoon toy - which will summon a stage that forces the caster to keep dancing no matter where they are.
Meanwhile, myriad arcade games await at the Darkmoon Arcade manned by the excellently-named Lynnish Hardmode. Minigames including 'whack-a-gnoll' and 'tank battle simulator' can also net various prizes whilst a bonafide racing challenge will pit speedsters against each other for some tiered prizes based on where they finish.
More hands-on attendees will be able to tussle with some baddies at the Blight Boar Concert or the Darkmoon Faire outskirts, where the Darkmoon Rabbit and Moonfang are on the prowl. Plus, Profession Quests give crafters a chance to contribute to the inner workings of the fair in exchange for those sweet Game Tokens and Darkmoon Prize Tickets. Oh and there's a Darkmoon Artifact treasure hunt for good measure.
Success in most activities will net players Darkmoon Prize Tickets, which can then be exchanged for multiple prizes. These include Darkmoon-themed mounts, pets, gear and items to commemorate your time at the fair.
The sheer wealth of activities on offer at the Darkmoon Faire can't be understated - but all is explained via the WoW website. Otherwise, jump in while you can by visiting portals in Elwynn Forest (Alliance) or Mulgore (Horde).
