WoW Wednesday: The New WoW Esports Event is a Triathlon of Challenges

WoW Esports is about to host its first triathlon event, inviting the title's triple-threat aficionados to demonstrate their prowess in a trio of triumphs via Twitch. The new WoW Esports event will feature celebrity contestants, prizes galore, and a spectacle that showcases the core WoW features we know and love.
The new WoW Esports event will challenge players to show off their knowledge of the game, their mastery of levelling, and their speed in three specially-tailored events as part of the WoW Variety Show hosted on Twitch on August 24th. These events will take the following forms: Levelling
The first Variety Show event will challenge contestants to show if their early game is as impressive as their endgame. Four Warcraft Celebrity Contestants will have one hour on a special live server to level a brand new character as high as possible, with a collection of extra challenges thrown in for good measure.
Scavenger Hunt
Meanwhile, the Scavenger Hunt will test contestants' Warcraft wisdom. This will task teams of five with solving riddles and puzzles, as well as finding myriad objects scattered around several zones. The team with the most Scavenger Hunt points at the end of the event will, of course, clinch the victory. Footrace Through Azeroth
The last event of the WoW Variety Show is a good, old-fashioned footrace. Contestants can only ride atop a ground mount as they deploy speed and strategy to get ahead of the competition and clinch the win.
