Elite: Dangerous is a sci-fi space sandbox adventure, trading, and combat simulator that is the fourth installment in the Elite video game series. Created by Frontier Developments, Elite: Dangerous was funded through Kickstarter and crowdfunding on the Elite: Dangerous website. Head for the stars, take a ship and trade, bounty-hunt, pirate or assassinate your way across the galaxy in this massively multiplayer online space adventure. It's an awe inspiring, beautiful, vast place; with 400 billion star systems, planets, moons and asteroid fields just waiting to be explored and exploited.
In the year 3300, across the vast expanse of an epic, full-scale recreation of our Milky Way, interstellar rivalries flare as galactic superpowers fight proxy wars. Some may know you as an ally; others will call you a pirate, a bounty hunter, a smuggler, an explorer, an assassin, a hero. Fly alone or with friends, fight for a cause or go it alone; your actions change the galaxy around you. Start with a small starship and a few credits, and do whatever it takes to get the skill, knowledge, wealth and power to stand among the ranks of the Elite.

Real Freedom - Go where you like, be what you like - pirate, bounty hunter, trader, assassin, or some mix of all of these.
Trade - Buy low, cross dangerous space lanes, evade or destroy pirates en route, then sell high, if you make the journey!
Fight - Take on the pirates or be one yourself; strength and skill determine the victor.
Progress - Get your pilot rating all the way from "Harmless" to "Elite"
Explore - Head out to the far reaches of space and discover amazing sights!
