XCOM 2 is a free to play multiplatform action strategy game set in a sci-fi and cyberpunk future, and it is the next installment in the famed XCOM franchise after 2012's XCOM: Enemy Unknown. Twenty years have passed since humanity lost the war against the alien invaders and a new world order now exists on Earth. The aliens are building shining cities that promise a brilliant future for humanity on the surface, while concealing a sinister agenda and eliminating all who dissent from their new order.
