The creativity on display in the Valheim community is a feast for the eyes worthy of any King’s hall. And, much like the ‘Frankenheim’s Monster’ of a couple of week’s ago, we feel that some creations are worth sharing. After all, we’re big fans of the game, and as such we’ll jump on every chance to spread word of its content far and wide.

The latest creation to catch our eye is once again courtesy of an industrious Reddit user, this time by the name of u/jimsmoments89. In a recent post, they showcased ‘Viking-ville’ - a Valheim village that would not look out of place as a baked-in feature. One fan even announced that it was better-looking than most of the towns in Skyrim. And at the very least, it certainly looks on a par.

Jimsmoments89 even went so far as to provide a bit of backstory to the creation. Imagined as the remnants of a Vanir village, it was restored by the current occupants of Valheim as a hub for trade, leisure and adventure-planning. And with three taverns, there’s certainly plenty of room for leisure.

The Valheim village also contains a dungeon, barracks, longhouse, training grounds, two docks, port authority, orphanage, marketplace and around 20-30 houses. It’s practically a purgatorial metropolis.

Having spent around two hours per day since the beginning of May building the town, the impressive end result is a monument to what commitment (and a pretty big creative spark) can achieve. And with a mountain fortress in the pipeline, it looks as though there’s plenty on this Valheim visionary's to-do list.

This latest creation goes to show two main things. One - Valheim is a god-tier game for creativity. And two - you can bet your bottom coin that there will be legendary builders like jimsmoments89 to outshine us all. But practice makes perfect, and Valheim provides the perfect training ground. As the Valheim saying goes: ‘Viking-ville wasn’t built in a day.’
