The first major expansion for the wildly popular survival action MMORPG Conan Exiles is landing in early access on PC from 15th September. The sandbox spinoff of Conan the Barbarian is Funcom’s most successful offering with over 10 million players worldwide, and this latest addition to the 3-year old title promises to reinvigorate the open world with a new map, new dungeons, new monsters and an entirely fresh start. That’s right, all players will be offered a blank slate as they create brand new characters for this brand new realm.
The expansion takes place on the titular Isle of Siptah, an island crawling with eldritch monsters and beset by magical storms that spawn the vile beasts. Players will be afforded the opportunity to summon magical portals that (rather rudely) forcibly pull NPCs from the Exiled Lands into Siptah. Players will have to compete for this privilege, however, which is sure to spark new conflict.

More than a dozen new dungeons will also feature, as well as an ominous dark tower surrounded by its own magical storm. Two new building sets will allow players to construct pirate-themed towns of flotsam and majestic castles from stormglass. Plus, a brand new mount will be gracing the wastes: an actual rhinoceros. Who hasn’t dreamed about riding into battle on one of those bad boys? Well, grab the game in early access and you’ll be granted a limited edition War-torn Rhino Mount Skin, to boot. That’s if you needed any more encouragement.
